BRAVE / PRAXIS: Pics of the Week ::: Fall (Houston's Least Well-known Season)

Autumn is typically marked in most parts of the country by the changing colors of the leaves and the drop in seasonal temperatures. Being in the southeastern part of Texas, we miss out on a lot of the obvious signals traditionally associated with the changing of the season this time of the year. We must then look at other clues that help us identify the yearly passage into the Fall. Whether it is one-time events such as Thanksgiving, or season-long occurrences such as the great migration of the Monarch Butterflies, Canadian Geese or the Common Teal, or just simply the end of the Hurricane season, there are other signs that we have developed to identify this time of the year.

This week our objective was to capture these subtle signs of Fall occurring all around us.
