BRAVE / PRAXIS: Pics of the Week: Something You've Had to Say Goodbye To

This week’s Pics of the Week topic comes to us with slightly somber emotions. Our summer intern, Fabian, will be leaving us next week to return to architectural studies and so we asked him to pick this week’s theme. As we are saying our goodbyes to him, he appropriately chose to go with a ‘farewell’ theme. As you’re struggling to hold back your tears, take a look at some of the things we’ve had to say fare well to.

My last days in BRAVE / ARCHITECTURE, this is a going away present from Fernando Brave and decided it was appropriate for this week’s subject which I chose “things one has to say goodbye to”, so in honor of my great opportunity of working for B/A this summer, I chose this picture of an exit sign symbolizing me leaving the firm, I’m holding the tears back! Good Bye!!

…it’s simply never a goodbye for me; in this case as it always is and even more for the sake of this posting and its meaning “A+tard mon frere, je te le jure!” is quite fitting! Huh? En cristiano: it was harsh a few months ago having to say “adeu” to my “creativity-twin-tour de force-nmb” and come back to Texaslandia. That’s it for me folks. In the mean time… thank you & ViD me!

Upon moving to NYC I had the typical New Yorkers experience of several moves in only a few months. I finally landed at Morton. A wonderful tree lined street in the area known as the “Village.” After all my Manhattan apartment adventures it was certainly a difficult jewel to say goodbye to.

It was my college car, it was a real lemon but I could fit tons of friends in it. The motor finally gave up and with no time or money to fix it, I had to let it go. I still have its license plates hanging up in my garage.

Living in Montreal was a real treat. Although I was only for about a year, the winter lasted for about half of it. The climate was only a number of differences I found, but making daily routes through the snow was defiantly something I had to let go of when returning to Houston.

These are two of my dearest friends at their going away party (they get to move to NYC). TA (left) to go to School of Visual Arts and Brandon (right) to experience the city. It definitely isn’t the best feeling to say goodbye to such great people.
