As architects we break down buildings into certain elements, some being more important or more highlighted than others. One of these elements is almost always the entrance of the building. In some cases the entrance is just a doorway allowing access into the building, but for others it is the beginning to a planned procession through the building. Either way, the entrance will always be the element that will set the tone for how you experience the architecture. Hopefully these portals draw you in and say, “Welcome.”
