Pics of the Week ::: Your Favorite Billboard
20 January 2010, 19:37
Maybe you have a favorite billboard…maybe you don’t. This week’s theme challenged us to look beyond the ubiquity of the billboard and to differentiate one from the other. What set it apart? Why did it interest us? For as many as there appear to be, it is a dying breed. Laws have been written preventing new ones from being erected along certain corridors – as if they inherently detract from a highway’s specific beauty. The following are submissions that pick up on some of the billboard’s more positive traits – context, theme, culture, technology, isolation.
