New Team Member Announcement

BRAVE / ARCHITECTURE is very pleased to announce the newest team member to our team, Alejandro Colom. At B/A, he will focus on public sector projects, while adding his knowledge and vision towards strengthening the firm’s position as one of the key players in Houston’s intelligent growth.
Alejandro Colom completed his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Houston in 1994 where he participated in the Sasakawa International Center for Space Architecture (SICSA) Program. Two years later he graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Architectural Studies. He was the recipient of the Horacio Caminos Award, an honor that lead to a participation in many developing countries within the Special Interest Group in Urban Settlement (SIGUS) program at MIT.
With almost twenty years of experience in Houston, Alejandro is dedicated to supporting his community. He has, and will continue to serve as a member of various boards of directors and committees for local non-profit and public entities.
Alejandro Colom is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston’s Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture. There, and within the SICSA program, he continues to educate fifth year and graduate students on designing for extreme environments. Alejandro enjoys traveling and speaks fluent English and Spanish. Outside of architecture, his interests include photography, the study of martial arts, and most importantly, family.
