Must Watch: Typeface, Documentary
10 May 2010, 13:18
From the tiny town of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, comes the documentary about a lone museum, The Hamilton Museum of Wood Type. It focuses on the rich history of graphic design and the preservation of its analog craft. This is a must watch and must pre-order as it explores the lineage of typography and print from the days of pantographs and milling machines. It reaches out to the younger generation of designers in order to give them an understanding of how things were done before the introduction of digital mediums. Check out the film’s official website here.
