Lecture: Cristián O'Connor, April 29 @ 7 P.M.

Argentine architect Cristian O’Connor will be giving a lecture on his work at the Institute of Hispanic Culture on Wednesday, April 29. The lecture, which is free to the public, will be in Spanish. The event is sponsored by Casa Argentina de Houston, the Institute of Hispanic Culture and Brave / Architecture.
Architect Cristian O’Connor completes his studies at the Universidad de Belgrano in 1984. He teaches design at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, College of Architecture between 1985 and the mid 1990’s, and is currently teaching Architecture Theory at the same school. Since then, he works independently, occasionally collaborating with architects like Bucho Baliero and Ernesto Katzenstein. For the last few years, O’Connor has been part of a design collaborative with architect Mariano Clusellas and others. He has just completed a design collaboration with Italian architect Beppe Caruso for the design of a museum for Fundación Proa in La Boca, Argentina. O’Connor’s work has been widely published and has received numerous design awards. He has given lectures on many occasions, including one for the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston in April of 2007.
