Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
11 March 2013, 18:19
As a Native Houstonian, I’ve only been to the rodeo less than the number of fingers I have on one hand. From those visits, I’ve only managed to see the carnival and its foods, a few shops, a few livestock, and two concerts.
For this visit, I started at the carnival to grab food, which consisted of a turkey leg, loaded baked potato, and a brisket sandwich followed by an ice cream sundae funnel cake and cookies for dessert. I didn’t eat all of that my myself, mind you. There were a few others to help. Then I headed inside to see the shops and last of the livestock before the concert. The shops were closing and livestock were being vacuumed, which I thought was amusing. After the livestock, I started on my way to see the concert. I ran into Brandi during the concert and caught her wearing boots (something she said was her first and maybe last, so I took a picture)! Overall, I enjoyed my short time there. I’m hoping to go again before it’s over, but if I don’t get a chance, there’s always next year. So for the time being, enjoy the few pictures that I took!
