Fernando is putting together an architecture exhibit that will coincide with the Texas Society of Architects convention to take place in Houston this year. The show, named “Elsewhere, TX: Celebrating Current-Century Projects Beyond Houston,” will be on display at the Architecture Center Houston between September 23 and October 25, 2009. For this exhibit, which is Houston’s way to honor architecture practices from outside this city’s limits, the criteria used to select work was simple: projects had to be completed after the year 2000, had to be designed by firms whose practices lie outside Houston, and mostly would be comprised of projects, with a few exceptions, that have not been widely recognized, published or that had received regional awards. The opening reception for Elsewhere, TX will take place at the Architecture Center Houston located at 315 Capitol, Suite 120, on September 23, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. Hope to see you there!
