Book Review: Ecstacity
2 March 2009, 22:44
Formed in the early 80’s, Ecstacity is the brainchild of British Architect and scholar Nigel Coates. By overlaying the street plans of seven existing cities, Coates has created a hypothetical environment that allows us to speculate on the future of our built environment while providing a different point of view of our current setting. Designed in collaboration with David Ellis of Why Not Associates, Ecstacity equips us with a good example of a contemporary guide book for our studies of the modern city.
