Last Friday and Saturday were busy days in our office. Aside from getting the usual business done, a few of us were able to spend some time after hours to teach and learn the art of screen printing. The workshop, which included the entire process from selecting the screen, applying and burning emulsion, and printing techniques, was hosted by me and Alp Bozkurt. Our experience, however, was not without error as our first attempt at creating a proper screen had failed. (The trial and errors of the process…you’ve got to love it!). As a result, we ended up spending the majority of Saturday working out the kinks and producing very successful screens.
