Audio ::: Lift to Experience
12 February 2010, 21:45
I saw Lift to Experience play in Dallas during a red moon. It was another memorable performance and the evening eclipse would add to their lore of something great that may or may not ever be again. This music deserves more effort than blindly hitting “shuffle songs”. One must remove the vinyl from the sleeve and put the needle on the record—it requires purpose and effort. No change in order or skipping of songs—just the occasional break to turn the side over.
I was to see them play again in Houston about eight years ago. They didn’t show and rumor turned to myth. A friend of mine relayed a story of running into one of them at an organic co-op farm somewhere north of Dallas. How far north, you ask? Oklahoma? Nebraska? The Yukon? I don’t know. It was north.
I’d read a quote recently on a web page that was updated sometime in 2006—it said, “If Jesus played guitar, this is how Jesus would play guitar. Though, I think He would sing differently.”
Here is a link that is similar to the film footage of Bigfoot—another possible myth.
…and a few others…
