Julia Schafer is a native Houstonian who graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Journalism. From Brave/Architecture’s inception, she overseen all aspects of the firm’s operations and is aligned steadily with the management team.
Julia is also a Board Member of Houston Mod. She is a past Board Member of the Society of Design Administrators, Houston Chapter and Voices Breaking Boundaries and past member of the Rice Design Alliance Membership Committee and Society of Marketing Professionals Services Communications Committee.
Outside of architecture, her interests include refurbishing and selling mid-century modern furniture, historic preservation and modern culture. Highlighting her use of contemporary design in a historical space, her renovated 1923 duplex was featured in an episode of HGTV’s Small Space, Big Style.
